Provisional Duties now payable on decorative and other non-structural plywood from China

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced on October 23, 2020, that Provisional Duties are now payable on certain decorative and other non-structural plywood originating in or exported from China which are released from Customs on or after October 23, 2020.

Subsequent to the CBSA determination, the CITT gave notice on October 26, 2020, that it had initiated an inquiry to determine whether the dumping and subsidizing of the above-mentioned goods have caused injury or retardation or are threatening to cause injury to domestic producers  as determined under the Special Import Measures Act.
