On January 14th, 2022, the Secretariat of Economy (SE) published news of the Official Mexican Standard Project PROY-NOM-004-SE-2020. This standard deals with the commercial labeling of textile products, clothing, accessories and household linen, and it cancels NOM-004-SCFI-2006. For textile companies, this information is critical because noncompliance with the new regulation could lead to penalties.
The Mexican government published the law after receiving feedback from stakeholders, including the public.
