Health Canada seeking input on regulatory transparency

Health Canada is seeking input and comments on the launch of the Regulatory Transparency and Openness Framework (RTOF).

This program will enable Health Canada to continue to provide information available on health and safety.

Recently announced by the Health Minister, the RTOF is a three-year plan (2015-2018) with new commitments to further increase Health Canada’s transparency and openness. The plan builds on what has already been accomplished in the first year of the Framework and charts the path forward for making more information available and easier to understand in 2015-2018.

The RTOF is a long-term vision to make regulatory decisions and decision-making processes in Health Canada more transparent and open. It includes the development of action plans which outline the Department’s specific activities each fiscal year.

The 2015-18 Framework and Action Plan can be found on Health Canada’s website.
