Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are looking for input from public and industry and seeking feedback on the provision of information for foods sold in Canada via e-commerce.
Consultation are being held on the proposed development of guidance document providing food information for foods sold to consumers through e-commerce. Consultation is open from May 9th, 2022 to July 8th, 2022
E-commerce platforms selling food should provide consumers with the necessary information to make informed food purchasing decisions. Provide your input on the following:
- proposed principles and approach for future development of guidance on this subject; and,
- challenges faced in obtaining, providing and/or maintaining information about foods sold through e-commerce.
