CITT initiates expiry review on refined sugar

On December 30, 2014, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) advised that they are conducting expiry proceedings concerning the dumping of refined sugar originating in or exported from the United States of America, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and the United Kingdom and the subsidizing of refined sugar, originating in or exported from the European Union.

The subject goods are described as refined sugar, refined from sugar cane or sugar beets, in granulated, liquid and powdered form.

Any firm wishing to participate in the proceedings must file a notice of participation with the Tribunal on or before January 15, 2015. Written submissions & requests for information should be sent to:

Should the CITT determine that an expiry review is not warranted, the finding will expire on October 31, 2015.
