CBSA concludes normal value review on U.S. exporter of refined sugar

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), on February 21, 2023, concluded a normal value and export price review of goods subject to the Refined Sugar SIMA case exported to Canada by United Food Group Inc. (United), located in the United States.

At the initiation of the normal value review, the CBSA sent requests for information (RFIs) to United as well as the company which produced the goods overseas. The company which produced the goods did not respond to the CBSA’s RFI, as such, normal values were not issued.

Imports of subject goods from United will be subject to 180% anti-dumping duties.

Details regarding the review are available here.
