CBSA concludes expedited review for exporter of certain upholstered seating from Vietnam

The CBSA concluded, on February 28, 2023, an expedited review of the Vietnamese exporter Kaiser 2 Furniture Industry (Kaiser 2), an exporter of goods subject to the Upholstered Domestic Seating SIMA case included in the Measures in Force.

Expedited reviews are conducted by the CBSA upon request of an exporter to review the normal value, export price, and amount of subsidy on goods subject to a particular SIMA case currently in force.

As a result of the investigation, normal values and specific amounts of subsidy have been issued to Kaiser 2. Imports of goods subject to this review which have been sold to Canada at or above the normal values issued, will not be subject to anti-dumping duties. However, countervailing duties are applicable at a rate of 9,342.24 VND per piece.
