CBP Announces Temporary Handling of Commercial Agriculture Shipments at the Port of Ogdensburg, NY, Effective March 12, 2018

US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) has announced effective March 12, 2018, the Port of Ogdensburg, NY, will begin accepting, on an interim basis, commercial shipments of regulated agriculture products during the following hours:

Monday: 9:00am to 3:00pm

Tuesday: 9:00am to 3:00pm

Wednesday: 9:00am to 3:00pm

No Agriculture Service Thursday through Sunday

Prior to March 12th, agriculture questions should continue to be directed to the Port of Alexandria Bay, NY, at (315) 481-2261, ext. 2940. Starting Monday, March 12th, questions about importing agriculture products through the Port of Ogdensburg, NY, be directed to a CBP Agriculture Specialist (CBPAS) at (315) 393-1390, ext. 2790 during the above-noted hours.

Due to current staffing and budget limitations, CBP also advised this interim service is approved only through Wednesday, May 23, 2018. While it is the hope of CBP to offer this service year-round, CBP cannot commit to doing so until permanent resources are received.
