The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) advised on July 9, 2021, of the initiation of an expiry review of its order made on August 12, 2016, concerning the dumping certain flat hot‑rolled carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip originating in or exported from Brazil, China and Ukraine and the subsidizing of said goods originating in or exported from India..
Concurrently, on July 12, 2021, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the above finding is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of the subject goods.
The CBSA will make a determination no later than December 6, 2021, and will issue a Statement of Reasons by December 21, 2021.

As part of its expiry review investigation, the CBSA has forwarded questionnaires to Canadian producers, importers, exporters and the Government of India.
