On July 16, 2026, in accordance with 19 CFR 24.5(e), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will automatically deactivate Importer of Record (IOR) accounts in ACE that have not filed an entry within 366 days.
An Importer of Record with “Inactive for Entry Purposes” status will no longer be eligible to transmit ACE Cargo Release and Entry Summary transactions.
Non-entry functions not affected by this status:
- Acting as a consignee
- Drawback filing
- Reconciliations
- Securing a bond
- ISF transmission
- Other ACE business functions
