On September 22, 2026, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued a finding of a threat of injury concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain truck bodies originating in or exported from China. This decision follows the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) final determination released on August 24, 2026.
As a result of this finding, the provisional period is now over, and the final anti-dumping and countervailing rates are payable on imports of subject goods released by CBSA on or after September 22, 2026.
Importers using customs brokers are reminded to inform their broker if their goods fall under these measures, and to provide all necessary information to ensure accurate assessment under SIMA.
