There are 11,400 large taxpayers to review, says the Tax Administration Service (SAT)

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) has focused, so far in the current administration, on reviewing accounting statements and paying taxes to large taxpayers to increase tax collection and considers that even the universe of these taxpayers by review is “quite considerable.”

“There are a total of 12,000 large taxpayers, until August of this year 627 were reviewed, there are still many to review, we have room for a while, of these 627, two went to a judicialization process where the Prosecutor’s Office is the second instance and determines whether fraud was done or not. We still have 11,400 to review, it is a quite considerable number”, said in a morning press conference, Raquel Buenrostro, head of the Tax Administration Service (SAT).

The public servant explained that of the 15 large taxpayers who owed more money: 8 are up to date with their payments, 4 have already recognized their debts and are paying in installments, 2 are solving their situation in the Attorney General’s Office, while 1 is under review. Among these companies, firms such as Walmart, Grupo Modelo, América Móvil, IBM, FEMSA and Grupo BAL stand out
