On December 31, 2025, President Trump issued a Proclamation delaying the proposed Section 232 tariff increase on upholstered furniture, kitchen cabinets and vanities. Duty rate increase was due to go into effect January 1, 2026, and has now been delayed until January 1, 2027.
The following rates of duty shall apply:
- Lumber – 10%
- Upholstered furniture – 25%, will increase to 30% on January 1, 2027
- Kitchen cabinets and vanities – 25% will increase to 50% on January 1, 2027
