On September 17, 2026, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a preliminary determination of dumping with respect to imports of certain wheat gluten in or exported from Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom.
As a result of the determination, provisional duties under the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) are now payable on imports of subject goods that were released on or after September 17, 2026.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will now initiate an inquiry to determine whether the dumping of the subject goods have caused injury or are threatening to cause injury to domestic producers. Their inquiry will be available on the CITT Website.
