Provisional Duties Now Payable on Grinding Media from India

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), on April 30, 2021, issued a Notice of Preliminary Determinations to announce that provisional duties are now payable on certain grinding media originating in exported from India, released from Customs on or after April 30, 2020.

Grinding media is usually classified under HS classification numbers 7325.91.00.10 & 7325.91.00.90. However, it should be noted that the HS codes provided are for convenience of reference only. Please refer to the product definition for authoritative details regarding the goods

Following CBSA’s Notice of Preliminary Determinations, on May 3, 2021, the CITT gave notice that they will conduct an inquiry to determine if the dumping and subsidizing of the above mentioned goods have caused injury to the Canadian domestic industry.
