Final injury determination made by SIMA-CITT on certain thermal paper rolls from China

On January 8, 2026, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) made a finding of injury in

regards to the dumping and subsidizing of certain thermal paper rolls originating in or exported from China. This follows the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) Final Determination made on December 9, 2025.

As a result of the finding, the final anti-dumping and countervailing rates are payable on imports of subject goods released from CBSA on or after January 8, 2026.

Importers are reminded that, if they use the services of a customs broker to clear their imports, the brokerage firm should be advised whether or not the goods are subject to anti-dumping and countervailing duties and be provided with sufficient information necessary to accurately assess SIMA if applicable.
