Dumping Continues on Certain Seamless Casing from China

On June 21, 2018, the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) announced that it had determined that the expiry of the order made on March 11, 2013, regarding the dumping and subsidizing of Certain Seamless Casing originating in or exported from China would likely result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of the subject goods to Canada.

The CITT will now conduct an inquiry to determine if the expiry order is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry. Their decision will be announced no later than November 28, 2018.

The subject goods are usually classified in the following classification numbers: 7304.29.00.11, 7304.29.00.19, 7304.29.00.21, 7304.29.00.29.

These HS codes are provided for convenience or reference only.

For complete product description of the subject goods, refer to product definition provided in CITT’s order.

A Statement of Reasons will be posted on CBSA’s website within 15 days containing additional details of the determination.
