Dumping Continues on Carbon Steel Welded Pipe from China  

On October 19, 2018, the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) determined that the expiry of the order made on August 19, 2013, regarding the dumping and subsidizing of certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from China would likely result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of the subject goods to Canada.

The CITT will now conduct an inquiry to determine if the expiry order is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry. Their decision will be announced no later than March 28, 2019.

These goods are normally imported under HS classification numbers 7306.30.00.14, 7306.30.00.19, 7306.30.00.24, 7306.30.00.29, 7306.30.00.34, 7306.30.00.39.
