Chinese postal code to be required for entry into the U.S.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced beginning on March 18, 2023, they will require the reporting of the Chinese postal code at time of entry for all imports of Chinese origin goods with a Manufacturer in China, as well as when adding or updating a Manufacturer Identification Number (MID).

CBP will use the Chinese postal code to validate whether a good is from an area not allowed entry into the U.S. due to Forced Labor, under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.
