On May 4, 2026, the CBSA made a preliminary determination of dumping with respect to imports of certain oil and gas well casing, originating in or exported from China.
Although there was a determination of dumping, CBSA will not be collecting provisional duties at this time as it was deemed unnecessary to prevent injury.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will now initiate an inquiry to determine whether the dumping of the subject goods have caused injury or are threatening to cause injury to domestic producers. A decision by the CITT is expected on September 1, 2026.
