CBSA initiates normal value reviews on certain carbon steel fasteners

Normal value reviews are conducted by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to update normal values, export prices or amounts of subsidy of single exporters as necessary, to ensure that these values accurately reflect current market conditions.

On May 18, 2023, the CBSA initiated normal value reviews on the following exporters to update all normal values and export prices applicable to certain goods subject to the carbon steel fasteners SIMA case currently in force.

Pro Power Co., Ltd. (Pro Power) of Taiwan

Industry Building Hardware Co., Ltd of Taiwan

Pinghu Gete Auto Fastener Co. Ltd. (Pinghu) of China

The outcome of these normal value reviews could affect duties on imports; if normal values are established as a result of the reviews, anti-dumping duties will not apply on the goods subject to this review if sold at or above the normal values issued.
