The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), on December 12, 2022, initiated a normal value review to establish normal values, export prices and amount of subsidy applicable to certain refined sugar subject to the Refined Sugar SIMA case, exported to Canada from the United States by United Food Group Inc. (United).
Normal value reviews are conducted by CBSA to ensure that these values accurately reflect current market conditions.
The review follows an appeal filed by an importer.
Should the exporter decide to participate in this review, they are required to provide complete and accurate responses to the CBSA’s Request for Information (RFI) by January 17, 2023.
