CBSA decides fastener exporter is dumping goods into Canadian market

If you import certain carbon steel fasteners extrusion products from Chinese firm Qifeng, the CBSA has decided you’ll continue to pay anti-dumping duties on those goods. This will increase the cost of doing business for those companies.

On October 7th, 2021, the CBSA concluded a normal value review of Qifeng. Certain products of Qifeng, exported to Canada are subject to the Certain Fasteners SIMA case.

As a result of this review, the CBSA has decided Qifeng is dumping its goods in the Canadian market. It will continue to apply anti-dumping duties to imports of subject goods from Qifeng.

Details regarding the review are available here.
