The Minister of Foreign Affairs recently announced that Canada is banning imports of Russian diamonds and diamond jewelry related products, effective December 5, 2023.
This ban follows a commitment made by G7 leaders to reduce the revenues that Russia extracts from the export of non-industrial diamonds mined, processed, or produced in Russia.
