Amendment to Annex 2.4.1 NOMs

On September 2nd, Secretariat of Economy, published the following modifications to Annex 2.4.1:

Update of Official Mexican Standards numerals 1 and 3

Adding to numeral 1 reference to safety standards and 3 referring to commercial labeling standards to fraction III of numeral 3 of Annex 2.4.1 the tariff fractions presented as an annex hereto, which must comply with the Official Standards Mexicans that are indicated at their point of entry into the national territory.

Update of Official Mexican Standards

The reference to certain NOMs is updated, derived from the agreement in question, they are replaced as indicated below.

  • NOM-015-ENER-2018: Whose objective is to establish limits, test methods and labeling, which considers in its field of application to household appliances refrigerators and freezers. Entry into force: 06/12/2021.
  • NOM-213-SCFI-2018: Whose objective is to establish the technical design, manufacturing and safety specifications, as well as the test methods that transportable containers subject to pressure and portable containers to contain Liquefied Petroleum Gas must comply. Entry into force: 04/01/2020
  • NOM-001-SCFI-2018: Eliminates from the annotations any reference to electronic equipment that operate nominal voltages of 24 V or less, eliminates the term “domestic use”, the tariff fractions of the Tariff of numeral 1 of the Annex of NOMs that are no longer subject to compliance with said Official Mexican Standard, as well as its reference in section XVI of numeral 10 of the same Annex. Entry into force: 08/14/2020
  • NOM-116-SCFI-2018: Whose objective is to guarantee that the importation by the automotive industry of lubricating oils for gasoline and diesel engines comply with the specifications and test methods, section XIII of numeral 3 will be repealed and subject the tariff fractions to compliance with this NOM in the numeral 1. Entry into force: 06/16/2020

NOM-EM-021-SE-2020 Whose objective is to specify the general requirements, for the performance, and efficiency in mechanical and electrical safety, of non-invasive mechanical sphygmomanometers and non-invasive manometer measuring instruments. Entry into force: 08/07/2020.
