Michael is a Director for Global Trade Consulting, of Livingston’s Canadian Consulting group based out of Montreal, Quebec. With over 20 years of industry experience, Michael’s expertise includes duty deferral and drawbacks; Customs Valuation guidance, conducting compliance program reviews; developing compliance procedures; supply-chain optimization; voluntary disclosures; and post-entry reviews.Michael’s expert knowledge and direction has achieved results for clients that include saving them significant amounts of money in penalties and duties by merging business plans with Customs rules, regulations, and administrative policies.

As a recognized expert in Customs and trade compliance, he regularly conducts seminars, and is invited to speak by the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB), and in 2015 was invited by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to deliver a presentation on the Least Developed Country Tariff (LDCT) and its effects on trade between Canada and developing countries.
