Brian Henkels U.S. Duty Drawback

Since 2016, Brian Henkels has led a dedicated team of consultants in the United States, focused on helping companies maximize their duty drawback recovery and minimizing risks to achieve higher levels of customs compliance.Since joining Livingston as a director in 2016, Brian now plays a key role in drawback consulting and business development activities in the United States.

With more than 17 years of drawback and compliance management experience, Brian specializes in duty recovery, customs compliance, and sales services. His expertise spans customs audit assistance, customs compliance reviews, preparation of customs protests and ruling letters, advice to and representation of clients who have received CBP desk reviews, and customs compliance seminars.

Prior to joining Livingston, Brian worked as a compliance manager and spent several years with US Customs and Border Protection as an inspector and drawback specialist.With a Bachelor and Masters of Science degree from Illinois State University, Brian has a criminal justice and statistical background. He has a diverse understanding of trade and broad knowledge of international law.
