Catherine Carney: Director, U.S. Brokerage, Foreign Trade Zone Services

As Director, U.S. Brokerage, Catherine Carney (Katie) is responsible for the oversight and administration of the Livingston’s Foreign Trade Zone services and overall product offerings.

Katie helps firms enhance their profitability by using the FTZ program and in the design, activation and implementation of FTZ Operations. She is also a subject matter expert on Bonded Warehouse and In Bond operations with an emphasis on duty avoidance.

Katie has 25 years of FTZ experience; she obtained her customs brokers license in 1980 and is a Certified Customs Specialist and Accredited Zone Specialist. Katie has held board positions for the Virginia Brokers Association. She is a director on the board of the Virginia Maritime Association and was the 2018 and 2019 chair of their International Trade Symposium. She is also highly respected and considered an industry expert in the field of Foreign Trade Zones.
