Mandatory EPA TSCA & Vehicles & Engines PGAs Delayed Until March 21, 2017

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced a delay in the effective date for mandatory reporting in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) participating government agency (PGA) under the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), and for Vehicles and Engines under the Clear Air Act. The new mandatory reporting date is delay sixty (60) days, until March 21, 2017. (The previous effective date had been January 26, 2017.)

Mandatory reporting will be required when securing ACE Cargo Release, see related update posted January 19, 2017.

Why was this delayed?

CBP is delaying the effective date to comply with a White House Chief of Staff memorandum to provide the opportunity for review by new Presidential Appointees.
