U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) posted yearly reports on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) seizures. Fiscal Years 2003 through 2016 are available for review. IRP seizures are used to prevent the import of products that infringe U.S. trademarks and copyrights, or are subject to exclusion orders issued by the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).
2016 Statistics, for example include information such as number of seizures, value of seizure property, commodities most often seized, or seizures by source country, by modes of transport, or by health, safety and security concerns. It also includes the previous year’s statistics, as a comparison.
