Provisional Duties no Longer Payable on Certain PET Resin following CITT Finding

On March 16, 2018, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued its finding regarding the Injury Inquiry of Certain Polyethylene Terephthalate Resin (PET resin) originating in or exported from Oman, Pakistan, China and India.

The CITT has determined that the dumping and subsidizing of the above-mentioned goods, have not, nor are threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry. Consequently, the CITT has terminated its inquiry.

This follows the CBSA Notice of Final Decision made on February 14, 2018.

The subject goods are usually classified under HS numbers: 39007.61.00.00, 3907.69.00.10 and 3907.69.00.90.
