Candace Sider wins Prestigious Trade Leadership Award

Attention Business Editors

TORONTO, October 9, 2014 – Candace Sider, vice president for regulatory affairs at Livingston International, won the 2014 Trade Compliance Leadership CATIE Award for her unparalleled commitment and innovation in policy and international trade. Livingston is the only company to have won two CATIEs since the award program started in 2009.

CATIE Award-winners are chosen by the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters (I.E. Canada) to recognize companies and outstanding leaders who have made a difference in trade customs and compliance. “Candace is an extraordinary talent and we are thrilled that she is receiving this national recognition,” said Roy Coburn, Livingston President-Canada. “It speaks volumes that Livingston is the only company to win multiple awards in the short history of the CATIEs. One of the reasons is that several team members like Candace are so committed to excellence that they volunteer their personal time to serve as leaders of international trade policy and advocacy councils. Livingston’s strong involvement in these organizations is an advantage for both our company and our clients.”

“It is so exciting and humbling to receive this recognition from my peers and colleagues,” said Sider. “I.E. Canada is a leading voice in trade nationwide, so this award is especially meaningful.”

Larry Hahn, the now-retired director of regulatory affairs at Livingston, won the Trade Compliance Leadership CATIE Award in 2012.

I.E. Canada is the largest trade association for importers and exporters in Canada. The non-profit organization is dedicated to developing and enhancing the profitability of importers and exporters and international trade activity.

Livingston International, a leading North American company specializing in customs brokerage and trade compliance, simplifies international trade and manages risk for businesses by assisting them in navigating the complexities of government agencies, regulations and protocols.

The award was presented at a gala dinner on October 7 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
