Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) recently published a new D-Memorandum D17-5-1 on the updated policy and procedures on the payment of duties and taxes on commercial shipments.
Also Customs Notice CN 17-33 advises customs brokers and importers on the new payment policies related to payments of statement of account. Some of those new policies were introduced on February 25, 2017 while the remaining ones will be introduced January 24, 2018 timeframes.
