Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor, Carrie Contact Centre, the successful candidate(s) in this contract position will be responsible for handling incoming calls for both PAPS (Pre-Arrival Processing System) and PARS (Pre-Arrival Review System).  The individual will also be responsible for responding to all general and specific inquiries regarding the carrier driven release system, as well as provide support to our U.S. Brokerage and the Canadian Brokerage Teams.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handle between 100-200 incoming calls on a daily basis within timeframe set out by PAPS/PARS department.
  • Answer inquiries and provide information to clients.
  • Direct calls to the correct department depending on client’s needs (i.e. Branches or Teams).
  • Be ready for incoming calls for the entire shift excluding assigned breaks & lunch.
  • Record each call in the DCC tracking system and handle seminars calls in regards to registration or general information.
  • Handle any outgoing call projects as assigned by Supervisor (e.g. incorrect paperwork, carrier inquiries, client information verification etc.).
  • Hold or release shipments for the Client Financial Services System (CFS) and deal with team inquiries.
  • Provide accurate communication between clients and the processing teams via phone and emails.
  • Support the RIV Call Centre if required and ensure integrity of Alliance/PAPS and Locus/PARS systems.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to work in an inbound call center environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work in a dynamic changing work environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills and high work standards with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and Outlook with keyboard skills of 45 to 60 wpm.
  • Bilingual in both French / English would be a definite asset.
